Wadley, GA – SRP Federal Credit Union representatives presented the Carver Elementary School Beta Club with a sponsorship of $13,700, which will support the club’s upcoming trip to the National Junior Beta Convention in Orlando, Florida, in a special check presentation on May 12.
Nineteen Carver Elementary School students will depart for the convention in June, joining fellow Beta Club members from schools across the United States to compete in multiple fine arts categories.
“We are so excited for our students, school, and community to compete once again at the national level in digital arts, drawing, accessory design, and dance. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and this generous support from SRP gives them the chance to shine on a national stage. We’re proud of their dedication and excited for what lies ahead at the National Junior Beta Convention,” said Carver Elementary School Principal Melvin Farmer.
Carver Elementary School, located in rural Wadley, GA, serves pre-K through fifth grade students in the Jefferson County School District.
