SRP Community Blood Drive Helps Save Up to 102 Lives

North Augusta, SC – SRP Federal Credit Union joined forces with Shepeard Community Blood Center on Oct. 27 to help save lives and strengthen the local blood supply through its quarterly blood drive.
The event brought together SRP employees, known internally as ambassadors, and community members, with 38 participants donating 34 pints of blood—enough to save up to 102 lives across the CSRA. Donors had the opportunity to give blood in Shepeard’s mobile donation units or at any of its donor centers throughout the week.
Blood donations play a vital role in supporting patients facing medical emergencies, undergoing surgeries, and receiving treatment for serious illnesses. By encouraging participation in community blood drives, SRP helps support this ongoing need while providing ambassadors and community members with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference close to home.
Through its quarterly partnership with Shepeard Community Blood Center, SRP continues to demonstrate its commitment to the health and well-being of the communities it serves. The October blood drive brings SRP’s total pints donated in 2026 to 160, impacting up to 480 patients.
