Augusta, GA – SRP Federal Credit Union supported United Way of the CSRA’s 2025 Stuff the Bus drive, contributing school supplies and volunteer hours to the back-to-school program that provides bookbags, notebooks, art supplies, and more for local K-12 students.

SRP’s company-wide initiative included collection boxes in branches and at its administrative campus, as well as volunteering to organize and pack school supplies at the Salvation Army Kroc Center of Augusta.

United Way of the CSRA’s Stuff the Bus collection drive distributes school supplies to students in Richmond, Columbia, and Burke counties and surrounding areas in the CSRA. SRP joined several local companies and organizations in supporting the campaign, including the Augusta Greenjackets at SRP Park.

Among the hardworking SRP team members who volunteered to sort, label, and pack school supplies was Community Development Representative Yvonne Meeks, who serves on the Executive Committee of United Way of the CSRA’s Board of Directors. She said she is proud of the work SRP employees contributed to the Stuff the Bus.

“Many families in our communities have to make the tough decision of: ‘Do we buy groceries this week, or school supplies?’” said Meeks. “These donations ease that financial burden for at least 900 families in the three-county area.”

SRP Federal Credit Union, guided by the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People,” is committed to uplifting education across the 10 counties it serves. SRP is proud to support local students and educators through programs like United Way’s Stuff the Bus.
